No one knows the true identity or origins of Cobra Commander. It is rumored among Cobra’s ranks that he was once a businessman and loyal believer in the American way, until the hypocrisy that democratic beliefs are built on forced him to face reality. A tactical genius and military strategist well versed in all forms of raising capital from pyramid schemes to phony fronts that hide arms dealerships and black-market transactions. The Commander employs legions of lawyers and bankers, accountants and consultants around the world. Politians are bought and used to gain Cobra a voice in world politics and international trade. Rallies are held and speeches are given that cause thousands to flock to the ever-vigilant cause that Cobra stands for. His armies have grown from a small group of anti-government activist to the vast armies, navies and air force that he now commands.
No one knows where the Commander will be or what he will do next, having eluded governments and mafias from around the world that have tried repeatedly to capture him. Still he stands tall before his legions of loyal troops, mocking those who would wish to see his demise. Often known to disappear for years at a time, only to return more powerful and leading a force twice as large as the one he had left.
