Heavy Armor and hand held rockets make the Immortals the perfect battle-side companion when the Commander chooses to observe from the front line. They are required to maintain intense weight training and cardiovascular regimens in order to be able to support the heavy armor on their uniforms. An Immortal swears his life to the protection of Cobra Commander and are often known to use themselves as human shields to ensure his safety on the battlefield. Immortals are hand picked by the Commander from the most daring and loyal of the Crimson Viper Corps. It is a well known fact that time as an Immortal is necessary to ever gain access to the Crimson Elite, however many choose to remain as Immortals, deciding that the shear glory of protecting the Commander himself, is fulfilling enough.
Loyalty will only get you so far in Cobra, a Guardsman is also expected to be a college graduate with degrees in Law, Political science or have earned an MBA. A Crimson Guard Immortal is called in when only pure dedication and excellence will suffice in a battlefield soldier! |
