		Created from the Commander's most loyal seiges. The first to be inducted consisted of those that remained loyal to the Commander following the attempt on his life by Fred VII. At first the Shadow Guard were thought to be perrsonal bodyguards and that the title was one of prestige more than function but as time went on it became obvious, to the Cobra Hierarchy, that the Commander had in fact created his own private death squad. A group that operates outside of the command structure and report solely to the Commander himself. Hardly ever seen and talked about amounst Cobra's rank and file for fear of the Shadow Guards reputation for knowing and seeing all. No one knows to what length the Commander's network of spies and assets reach but it is thought that the Shadow Guard oversee it all. Maintaining safe houses and fronts that the Commander can use at will, advanced recon on locations before he arrives and, it is even thought, posing sporadically as the Commander in high-risk situations. Often used as a strike force or as commandos for the more sensitive missions when failure is not tolerable. They are his most trusted and his most loyal. They are The Shadow Guard.
