Creator's Notes

How could I possibly resist? As soon as word of the Kay-Bee exclusive C.A.T. II hit the streets, the G.I. Joe collector community went nuts, that is of course until they started arriving at our doors. The Inverse color scheme that was sure to be a hit, ended up looking more like a rusty-pink, than a crimson color. I sure I'm not alone in saying that the majority of collectors were very unsatisfied. The Crimson Attack Tank II was far inferior to the original and ended up collecting dust while sitting on the shelves of Kay-Bee toys. It's one redeeming feature, being the driver, figure that it came with. A reissue of the Crimson Guard Immortal, unfortunately, the figure alone could not carry this toy at the $20 price point. Then on one faithful day, Kay-Bee.com place the C.A.T. II on blowout for $7.98, and it was a wonderful day, I immediately purchased 11 more, just for the figure. Now with twelve, Rusty-pink, C.A.T. II's sitting around my Joe room, it wasn't long before I decided to give them my own revamp and recreate the original. So I give you the C.A.T. that when placed next to my original from 1985, looks identical.
