The US has the Navy Seals while Australia has the O.A.T. (Offshore Assault Team). Starting out as a member of the Royal Australian Navy and quickly advancing until permitted entry to O.A.T., KAIN was always a man looking to go where the action was. Specializing in maritime assaults including ships, ferries, and oilrigs and an affinity for weapons and explosives. Qualified for HALO/HAHO, and proficient with hellebore insertions as well.
When the option came up to work with US Seal teams out of Little Creek, he jumped at the chance. KAIN reveled in the thrill of the hunt and found cooperative missions with the Seals to be his true calling. In 1986 while on a joint extraction in Beirut, KAIN found himself cut off from his team and fighting a holding action to prevent opposing forces from stumbling on the Seals location. He was over run and captured with no knowledge of his teammates condition or weather the mission had failed or not. After two weeks of non-stop torture, his captors decided that they would not be able to extract any information from him and that he would have to be killed. Waiting for his time to come, KAIN was approached by (the at that time undercover) Agent Chuckles who simply gave him a pack with food, water, bandages, antibiotics and a Browning HP 9mm. KAIN escaped by hiding in the cities ruined sewage system, slowly making his way out over the next three weeks. He thought he’d never see the man that saved him ever again.

Two years later, after being reunited with his team mates who had believed him dead and continuing on with his career with the O.A.T., KAIN was approached by Agent Chuckles again, while off base, and asked help create the SHADOW Team. Chuckles explained how impressed he was with his abilities and refusal to surrender any information under horrible torture. He was made aware that he would never be able to return to his life or his loved ones, and that he would no longer be connected to his own country. The idea of fighting the bad guys without the restraints of international laws was his dream job. KAIN signed on immediately to head the team.
SHADOW team has never officially existed nor were they ever officially connected to the United States government. The team specialized in Assassinations, Counter intelligence, wet works, and numerous black bag operations. Shadow’s contact was an agent named Chuckles. All other files pertaining to SHADOW and their operations have been sealed by the Department of Defense.
Current Status
KAIN was misplaced while on assignment in the Republic of Congo along four other members of the SHADOW team. Two of those members are known KIAs while one has now become a Rouge Agent. KAIN’s file has been officially closed, however it has been rumored that some believe he may still be alive.

Jungle Uniform
Head: '01 Gung Ho
Torso: '01 Leatherneck
Arms: '01 Gung Ho
Waist & Legs: '01 Gung-ho
Kains Jungle uniform. Kain, being the leader of the team and a experienced hardened operative, had to look the part of a real bad ass. I never really liked the balded head look until I started to tinker with his personality traits. The Gung Ho head sculpt was perfect, mean and aged looking, all he needs is a cigar. Deciding on a basic uniform for all Shadow Team operatives was not that easy. It had to look specialized and it had to fit in to a Jungles (no sleeves and such). The leatherneck figures vest worked great and soon became a staple of Shadow Team's uniforms (As seen in their Covert Ops Uniform on the main page)
