Kreloff started his career aboard a nuclear-powered attack and ballistic missile submarine in the Soviet Navy, where his intuition and analytical thinking proved key in avoiding US patrols and early warning systems of the day. The success of their covert missions put all members of his first crew on the fast path to promotion but especially for Kreloff. He was a natural leader that could anticipate the moves of an enemy 5 feet or a hundred miles away. Soon he was the Commander of one of the first Typhoon-Class submarines built by the Soviet Union running mock nuclear fire runs into US waters without ever having to abort a single run. The rank of Captain came easy and with it a call to return home for reassignment. Kreloff was a true Marxist and communism fit him well until he started to see that a Captain in the Russian Navy was in no way treated as equal as a common man. The greed and dishonesty of the politicians and upper ranking military officials sickened him. His time out to sea had prolonged this realization and glorified the Soviet way of life. Having felt that he served with some of the greatest of Communist leaders he immediately tried to confide in his friends and peers but was warned that such words could lead to imprisonment for treason. He knew he had no choice but to defect. Kreloff knew the Americans would welcome him but he could never join the enemy of the true communist way of life. Then there was Cobra. He had heard the propaganda and had run into a number of Cobra agents in his time, usually under the hot lamps of an interrogation room. They were fearless, determined, and loyal to their leader a man that preached equality for the workingman and detested the capitalists and their indulgent way of life. Defection proved easier than he could have ever imagined, having a trusted nephew that had served with him and was now part of the famed October Guard, (A group that was notorious for their run-ins with Cobra). He found that his nephew was more sympathetic to his reasons than he expected. The play was set, Kreloff was to extract the October Guard from Cobra Island in an attempt to capture Cobra Commander himself, an attempt that was sure to fail. In a stunt that was liable to end him up dead or captured, Kreloff himself held off advancing Cobra Eels on the deck of his sub with nothing more than his fists, while aiding the October Guard from their failed operation. His crew thought him to be a hero and mourned their loss as they submerged. Captain Kreloff, however, did not die and was surprised when he awoke in a Cobra Hospital and the doctor immediately informed him that Lt. Gorky explained everything, welcome to Cobra, Captain Kreloff. Recipe Head: '91 Mercer V. 2 Torso, Crotch and Arms: '87 Worms Legs: '91 Cobra Commander V. 5 | ![]() |
