Once a Cobra Viper, now one of the most trusted and dedicated members of the entire GI Joe team, Mercer proved his worth to his teammates time and again. An expert in explosives, with detailed knowledge of Cobra’s systems and tactics.

Creator's Notes
As GI Joe moved into the nineties and Neon colors started popping up on all of their figures, resentment started to grow inside of me. I was a young teen at this time and Neon Joes made no sense to me at all. I guess this custom is twelve years in the making as I can remember what I wanted Mercer to look. His original figure was fun but not my favorite. Minus the neon red, the 1991 Mercer was a solid contender, so I stuck with his ’91 persona and went from there.
