The Ferrets make up Destro’s armored assault divisions. To enter the Ferret Corps, one must poses a doggedly positive attitude and lightning fast reflexes. Ferrets undergo the same rigorous training as any of Destro’s Iron Grenadiers, however once the initial training is over, the real training begins.
Their primary attack vehicle, The DEMOM tank, is not like any other armor used by today’s armed forces. When originally designed by the M.A.R.S. Corporation, it was believed that the DEMON would replace conventional tanks, as we know it. Solar powered with the capacity to conserve and store energy for up to 12 hours, Higher speeds off road, the ability to raise it’s main chassis twice it’s normal height off the ground and a weapons package that could obliterate anything on the battlefield. Only the price tag and the fact that its driver is left practically unprotected stopped the nations of the world from buying into this work of technological genius.
No matter, Destro decided to use these weapons for himself. DEMON tanks are used to spearhead long range mechanized attacks, neutralize enemy strong points as well as capture and hold landing zones for airborne insertions.
