In the original script the idea was that Aleph would have been escorted out of the Commander's throne room and the high command would be left to discuss the events that had taken place. In novel form this ending made a lot of sense but as the Dio was created I found that it not only slowed the ending too much but that it also gave too much away from the sequel that was being written at the time.

At this time Aleph would have been removed from the Commander's Throne room giving the Cobra High Command time to talk..
