H.I.S.S. II

Cobra Logo

The HISS II was created, not to replace, but to compliment the original HISS tank. Costing significantly more and sacrificing speed for composite and reactive armor. Plus size, adding a rear compartment, giving the HISS II troop carrying capabilities. Weapons systems upgraded with computerized fire control and an advanced laser range finder that allows the HISS II to be controlled single handedly by its Track Viper driver. Added anti-personnel machine guns, S.L.A.M. missile systems and a Thermal Propulsion Cannon. The Plexiglas canopy replaced with a bulletproof acrylic windshield that gives the Track Viper a 360-degree view of the entire battlefield. The HISS II was designed to out-gun the competition, drop it’s load of troops and hold any position until reinforcements arrive.

Track Vipers

Seeing the need to create a more specialized unit to operate the highly advanced electronics of the HISS II, Cobra instated the Track Viper Corps. After no less than two years in the field as a rank and file Viper, the Track Viper Recruit most then invest 9 months in training exercises including a grueling 600 hours of virtual simulation and hand-eye-ear separation, coordination training, which allows the Track Viper to multitask between targeting, driving, firing and communications all at once. Considered one of the hardest appointments to receive in Cobra’s Armor division, the title of Track Viper is still highly sought after. The idea of operating Cobra’s most deadly and heavily armored tank may have something to do with it.
