Cobra Astronaut (Cobranaut):

As the world backs down from the race to space, Cobra has stepped up both funding and development of their space program, starting with the commission of the Astro-Vipers. Only the most daring and highly decorated Strato-Vipers are given the chance to qualify for the Astro-Viper program. Having already undergone multiple surgeries, allowing them to withstand High-G maneuvering and high altitude flying, the Strato-Viper makes for the perfect candidate.

Astro-Vipers function as Cobra’s Air & Space division, called on to pilot launch and recovery vehicles, man orbiting stations and perform upkeep of Cobra’s vast satellite network. They are equipped with the top of line fully insulated suits with automatic body temperature regulators, re-breathers, re-hydrating unit, propulsion and a laser based weapons package. A single Astro-Viper can go twelve hours, alone in space, without any support or connection to Cobra craft. It may seem scary to some, but these guys get off on it, not to mention the fact that they’re some of the highest paid operatives within Cobra.
