Amphibious Operations And Assault Trooper:

 

 

Cobra Lamprey’s are the true backbone of all Cobra Navel operations. Whether it be defending the coasts of Cobra Island, manning a Hydrofoil, Man-O-War Submarine, invading coastal enemy installations or carrying out acts of sabotage against oil rigs and tankers, the Cobra Lamprey is the all purpose Cobra Soldier on the sea.

Starting in the Cobra Eel (Cobra Frogmen) divisions and only picked if their time there was laden with achievements, the Lamprey hopeful is then sent to the Arctic Circle where they begin their Cold Climate, Submarine Warfare and Underwater Demolitions training. The surviving members are then immediately transferred to the Shark and Pirate infested islands of the south pacific, where they learn their skills operating the Cobra Hydrofoil and through real world skirmishes with the natives, prove their worth. The few that make it this far finish up with courses in sonar and communications technology. The washout rate is high, in Cobra Lamprey training nearly 50% don’t make it but the ones that do come out of it on top of their game.

Lamprey’s are armed with a variety of weapons and skills. Their uniform acts as an insulator to cold and heat, including built in user activated floatation aids and can be completely sealed against the outside environment, making it easy to simply add a tank of oxygen to enable them to dive or survive underwater for extended periods of time. Although masters of most small arms and spear guns, Lampreys are typically armed with small 9mm Submachine guns, with folding stocks, specially modified to handle amphibious operations.
