Python Vipers are the heavy infantry of Cobra’s Python Patrol. The next step for those of the Viper regulars looking to prove their worth quicker than the rest. Python Vipers are taught to be brutal and ruthless, often given bonuses for such behavior on the battlefield. On top of the usual Viper training, Python Vipers spend one month in an accelerated version of Night Viper training school . Even though they are considered the bottom of the chain of command, to succeed as a Python Viper assures an individual quick advancement through Cobra.

Python Vipers are considerable step above the normal Viper. Their drive is intense and often fatal to those that get in their way. Constant training and a relentless attitude from their superiors, make Python Vipers mean and hard, the absolute last person a Joe wants to come face to face with on the battlefield.

The Python Viper is outfitted with composite body armor, a combination assault rifle/grenade launcher with a light intensification night vision telescopic sight and built-in range finder, allowing the rifle to double as a short-range assault weapon or sniper rifle. The wraparound helmet covers their entire head and is made from an acrylic composite material, it includes a built in communicator as well visual and audio enhancers that give the wearer improved sight and hearing on the battlefield. Their uniforms are made to regulate body temperature at the same time as masking the wearer's heat signature making them virtually invisible to thermal scanners and scopes.
